VOLUNTEER AT THE WESTON PUBLIC LIBRARY.
Next Meeting:
What is T.A.B?
The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens who join together with the Young Adult Librarian to discuss upcoming programs, books and media, and volunteer opportunities. Have ideas for things you want to see at the library? Take this time to collaborate with your peers and our Teen Librarian to make your voice heard. We’ll work together to create exciting new opportunities and make the best library possible for our community!
What type of commitment is T.A.B?
Once a month we ask that you attend the T.A.B meeting, which is usually an hour. We also ask that you attend a few teen programs throughout the year. Which programs you attend is of course your choice and could be programs you are helping create or ones you just have an interest in.
What if I can’t make every meeting?
That’s okay! We know you are busy and have other commitments, we ask that you try to make as many as you can. If you can’t make a meeting, but still want to stay in the loop, ask your other T.A.B. members or meet with Kara at another time.
What types of programs does T.A.B. create?
T.A.B. can create anything we set our minds to! Love drawing? Create an art program. Love movies? Create a film series. Anything you can imagine, we can work together to bring it alive for the young adult community.
Are there other opportunities that are not in-person?
Virtual volunteer options include creating YA book reviews, YA reading lists or YA book trailers. Take some fun pictures of your most recent read and we would love to share them on Instagram! Have other ideas? Pitch them at the T.A.B. meeting or by emailing Kara at ChildrenTeenLibrarian@
We hope to see you soon!
