Library of Things


The Elgato video device allows patrons to convert VHS tapes to digital format. The Elgato requires a free software download and is compatible with both Macs and PCs. Patrons must have a VCR  at home in order to convert the tapes. The Makerspace may also be reserved to convert VHS tapes using the Library’s VCR.


The Library has 3 Chromebooks available for 2 week check out. Chromebooks have a guest account that patrons can use to log in and browse the Internet.

Kill A Watt

Kill A Watt is an electricity usage monitor. It measures the energy used by devices plugged directly into the meter. The LCD shows voltage; current; true, reactive, and apparent power; power factor (for sinusoidal waveform); energy consumed in kWh; and hours connected.

Includes Instruction book, felting needles (2), foam mat, thimbles (3), variety of wool colors

Explore AR/VR Holograms

Includes: MERGE Cube; need to provide cell phone or tablet and ability to download apps

Digitize Your Negatives Kit

Includes Picscanner Mobile Phone Scanner and Quick Guide; need to provide cell phone with high-resolution camera and ability to download free Picscanner App from Google or Apple

Metal Detector Kit
