New Procedures

Due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases around the state and the expected increase over the holidays, the Weston Public Library will scale back services beginning Thursday, December 17th. Requested Library materials will be available through Contactless Curbside Pickup and access to the building will be by appointment only.

Borrowing Library Materials
The Library’s collection is still available to all patrons via contactless curbside pickup!

To place an order for pickup:

1. Search the catalog at www.westonpubliclibrary.org.

2. Place a hold by clicking on the “Request Item” link next to the item you wish to borrow.

3. When the item is ready for pickup you will receive an email notification.

All requests will be available for pickup in the vestibule by the Community Room entrance to the Library. Please wait until any patrons ahead of you have picked up their items before entering the vestibule.

Returning Library Materials
The Book Drop will remain open 24/7
For the safety of patrons and staff, all returned items must be placed in the Library’s exterior book drop. Returned materials will be quarantined for 1 week and will remain checked out to your account during the quarantine period. No late fees will accrue. 

The Weston Library is not accepting book donations at this time. 

Appointments
The Library will be accessible by appointment only starting December 17. Please use the front entrance of the Library when arriving for appointments.

15 minute appointments will be available for browsing the Children’s and Adult collections and for computer access.

Appointments may be made by visiting www.westonpubliclibrary.org. On the left hand side of the page, please choose which department you would like to visit and select from the available time slots. The forms for scheduling appointments will be available starting Monday, December 14.

Did you know that the Library offers home delivery service for Weston residents who are either permanently homebound or temporarily homebound due to Covid19? If you are interested in receiving contactless delivery of library materials, please email westonlibrary@westonct.gov.

Most importantly, thank you to all of our patrons who have continued to support the Library throughout the last few months. While we hope this service change will be brief, the wellbeing of the Weston community and Library staff is our top priority.
